Dr. Xichun Wang earned his MD degree in Stomatology at Shanghai Jiaotong University, School of Medicine in 2006, he then studied in the master's program of Theology and Internet Engineering at the University of San Francisco (USF), searching for the answers to the purpose of life. He completed his master’s degree in Public Administration (MPA) with an emphasis in Health Services from USF in 2010. He also worked as Resident Minister and provided peer counseling, grief support, and other on-campus services to hundreds of undergraduate and graduate students. He earned his Ph.D. in Computational Biology and Genomic at Irell and Manella Graduate School of Biological Sciences – Beckman Research Institute at the City of Hope in 2019. His research interest is focusing on the development of machine learning algorithms and the construction of applied mathematical modeling with multimodal high dimensional healthcare datasets, which include high throughput genome sequencing data, disease surveillance data, and epidemiological data. | ||||

Zhenyu treats making positive influences every single day as his personal mission. He studied sustainable energy in his bachelor's from Zhejiang University in China, gained his master's from Virginia Tech in environmental engineering, and his Ph.D. from the University of Notre Dame. His research focuses on developing and evaluating tools for human-specific pathogens detection in the environment with the help of bioinformatics. Other than being a good researcher, Zhenyu has successfully helped students achieve their goals for a better future, and he enjoys working with different backgrounds of people. |
