Additional information

  • Program available Online and Flagstaff Mountain campus.
  • Students who complete an Associate of Business (ABus) degree will have their classes block transferred satisfying all lower division HA courses. If students need support in career direction, HA 100, HA 210, and HA 240 would be beneficial, but are not required. Contact your advisor for details.
  • You must obtain and document 1200 hours of relevant employment in a hospitality related enterprise for the technical, hands-on portion of your degree plan.
  • You must also earn a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.5 in all hospitality administration core and business auxiliary courses (combined) by the time you graduate.
  • You must complete four Pathway milestone events prior to enrollment in HA 315W and all eight Pathway milestone events prior to enrollment in HA 490C.
  • We recommend you take CST 111 or CST 151 to satisfy General Studies Social and Political Worlds requirements
  • This program is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Programs in Hospitality Administration (ACPHA).
  • This program is nationally recognized by the Council on Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Education (CHRIE).
  • The NAU academic catalog is the official source for all academic requirements and policies. Any discrepancies from other sources will default to the catalog.
  • Work with your Community College advisor or your NAU Transfer Representative to identify which community college courses transfer to meet NAU requirements.

  • The Arizona Hospitality Research and Resource Center was created to serve as a resource for our students and to provide research and service for the hospitality industry.
  • The Marion W. Isbell Endowment for Hospitality Ethics was established to encourage applied research in hospitality ethics and management and to increase awareness and resolution of ethical problems related to the hospitality industry through educational programs.
