There were 1,760 candidates enrolled in initial teacher preparation programs during Fall 2024 and 495 graduates in AY 2023-2024. There were 313 candidates enrolled in advanced professional education programs in Fall 2024 and 146 graduates in AY 2023-2024. In 2017, NAU earned <a href=\"http:\/\/www.caepnet.org\/\">Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation<\/a> (CAEP) accreditation. <span class=\"TrackedChange SCXW188436780 BCX0\"><span class=\"TextRun SCXW188436780 BCX0\" lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\" data-contrast=\"none\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW188436780 BCX0\">In Fall 2024, NAU earned national accreditation from the <\/span><\/span><\/span><a class=\"Hyperlink SCXW188436780 BCX0\" href=\"http:\/\/www.caepnet.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><span class=\"TrackedChange SCXW188436780 BCX0\"><span class=\"TextRun Underlined SCXW188436780 BCX0\" lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\" data-contrast=\"none\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW188436780 BCX0\" data-ccp-charstyle=\"Hyperlink\">Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a><span class=\"TrackedChange SCXW188436780 BCX0\"><span class=\"TextRun SCXW188436780 BCX0\" lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\" data-contrast=\"none\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW188436780 BCX0\"> (CAEP).\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><span class=\"EOP TrackedChange SCXW188436780 BCX0\" data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335557856&quot;:16777215,&quot;335559739&quot;:420}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"TextRun SCXW146567349 BCX0\" lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\" data-contrast=\"none\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW146567349 BCX0\">PEP manages student teaching placements and <\/span><\/span><span class=\"TrackedChange SCXW146567349 BCX0\"><span class=\"TextRun SCXW146567349 BCX0\" lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\" data-contrast=\"none\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW146567349 BCX0\">ensures that candidates meet outlined expectations for <\/span><\/span><\/span><span class=\"TrackedChange SCXW146567349 BCX0\"><span class=\"TextRun SCXW146567349 BCX0\" lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\" data-contrast=\"none\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW146567349 BCX0\">student <\/span><\/span><\/span><span class=\"TrackedChange SCXW146567349 BCX0\"><span class=\"TextRun SCXW146567349 BCX0\" lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\" data-contrast=\"none\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW146567349 BCX0\">teaching<\/span><\/span><\/span> <span class=\"TrackedChange SCXW146567349 BCX0\"><span class=\"TextRun SCXW146567349 BCX0\" lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\" data-contrast=\"none\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW146567349 BCX0\">.<\/span><\/span><\/span><span class=\"TextRun SCXW146567349 BCX0\" lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\" data-contrast=\"none\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW146567349 BCX0\"> PEP oversees the quality assurance system <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW146567349 BCX0\">established<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW146567349 BCX0\"> to collect and <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW146567349 BCX0\">monitor<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW146567349 BCX0\"> a<\/span><\/span><span class=\"TrackedChange SCXW146567349 BCX0\"><span class=\"TextRun SCXW146567349 BCX0\" lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\" data-contrast=\"none\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW146567349 BCX0\">ssessment data, accreditation and state approval processes, and federal and state reporting for education programs leading to licensure<\/span><\/span><\/span><span class=\"TextRun SCXW146567349 BCX0\" lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\" data-contrast=\"none\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW146567349 BCX0\">.
