E.g. letterhead, name tags, business cards, and standard envelopes.<\/li>\n<li>Specific order related adjustments, often called <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/printing-services\/products-and-services\/#productiondesign\">production design services,<\/a><\/strong> such as creating cutlines, placing a logo and\/or single color text on a solid background, or processing variable data may be either added to your DSF order or will be included in your custom estimate as required or requested.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>You can also <strong>provide your own<\/strong> graphic design work through your departmental resources or another university approved design service. In order to ensure the highest quality finished product, please review all of the guidelines on this FAQ page and implement into your file as necessary.<\/li>\n<li>Marketing services across campus may provide graphic design work or guidance to departments. Reach out to your units marketing services contact for availability of branded brochure, flyer, postcard, and poster templates.<\/li>\n<li>Printing Services offers a number of <a href=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/printing-services\/print-templates\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">design templates<\/a> for many commonly ordered products. This will ensure your order processes smoothly, avoids any turnaround time delays, and results in a high quality product.<\/p>\n<p>This means:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>File type<\/strong>:\n<ul>\n<li>All project files should be submitted as press quality PDF&rsquo;s (see image below).<\/li>\n<li>Booklets should be submitted using single, non-facing pages within a multi-page PDF. What actually happens is that a picture or other graphic will need to extend 1\/8&rdquo; (.125&rdquo;) beyond the edge of the page and that excess image or color is then cut off as a part of the bindery finishing process. The print ready PDF should be multi-page going from the front cover (page 1) to back cover (page x). Before print, we perform a series of &lsquo;pre-flight&rsquo; checks which review for many print specifications. However, it is the submitters ultimate responsibility to ensure a file is print ready before the order is submitted. Our team will gather any additional information required and create a site evaluation estimate and send it to you for approval. Once approved, we visit the site and take measurements and possibly recommend any relevant parties like Facility Services, though we may not be able to provide a comprehensive list and varying NAU policy compliance is the responsibility of the ordering party. The purpose of a site evaluation is to gather dimensions and review any potential nuances at each site. After site evaluation,&nbsp; we complete a basic site evaluation document which can be shared with any relevant parties.
