A lot of very cool research projects happen at PMI. We held an internal vote on which projects were the coolest, here are the winners:

 

#1 Sequencing the microbiome of the International Space Station

 

#2 Studying the relationship between the Human Gut Microbiome and the brain.

 

#3 Extracting and sequencing ancient plague DNA from skeletons in a mass grave from the era of the Justinian Plague (~550AD)

 

#4 Determining the origin of an outbreak of cholera in Haiti
