The Fellowship Program is a 16 month clinical program in rural, primary, and preventative health. The program provides knowledge and skill set to practice community focused medicine in a rural setting.<\/p>\n<div class=\"eplus-bg-color-row bg-color-nau-blue\"><div class=\"eplus-bg-color-row-content\">\n<h3><strong>Program Mission:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The mission of the PA\/NP Postgraduate Fellowship in Rural Health is to prepare Fellows to provide compassionate, person-centered, and culturally appropriate medical care for the rural and underserved populations and communities of Arizona. <\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"eplus-bg-color-row bg-color-nau-yellow\"><div class=\"eplus-bg-color-row-content\">\n<p><strong>Eligibility and Application:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To be eligible for the Postgraduate Fellowship Program and Graduate Certificate in Health Equity Program at Northern Arizona University, students must have a master&#8217;s degree from an ARC-PA accredited PA program or a master\u2019s in Advance Practice Nursing, official transcripts from bachelors and masters-level degree-granting institutions.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<h3><strong>Fellowship Admissions Requirements:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>GPA 3.0<\/li>\n<li>PA\/NP school master\u2019s degree transcripts\n<ul>\n<li>Official transcripts will be required for DMSc certificate application, unofficial can be sent in initial application packet for the fellowship<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>CV\/resume<\/li>\n<li>Letter of interest\/personal statement<\/li>\n<li>Letters of Recommendation \u2013 Two minimum (2)\n<ul>\n<li>PA\/NP educator\n<ul>\n<li>Faculty<\/li>\n<li>Preceptor<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Peer\/colleague\/supervisor from workplace where employed as a PA\/NP, if applicable<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>Conditional requirements that must be submitted prior to matriculation upon acceptance if not available at time of application:<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>Arizona PA or NP License<\/li>\n<li>Copy of NCCPA Certification<\/li>\n<li>DEA License\n<ul>\n<li>An active DEA license will be required prior to starting the fellowship program.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>BLS<\/li>\n<li>ACLS<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"eplus-bg-color-row bg-color-nau-blue\"><div class=\"eplus-bg-color-row-content\">\n<hr role=\"separator\" class=\"hr--transparent hr--transparent-30px not-in-view\">\n<h3><strong>Application Process:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Email Fellowship Director Nicole Ferschke (<a href=\"mailto:nicole.ferschke@nau.edu\">nicole.ferschke@nau.edu<\/a>) indicating interest to apply, including anticipated date of PA\/NP degree completion and PANCE or NP certification exam for new graduates.<\/p>\n<p>Required attachments to include in email:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>CV\/resume<\/li>\n<li>Letter of interest\/personal statement<\/li>\n<li>PA\/NP school transcript, official or unofficial acceptable at this stage<\/li>\n<li>Letters of Recommendation \u2013 Two minimum (2)<\/li>\n<li>Arizona PA or NP License \u2013 if available<\/li>\n<li>Copy of NCCPA Certification \u2013 if available<\/li>\n<li>DEA License \u2013 if available<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The NAU Rural Health Advanced Practice Provider Post-Graduate Fellowship Program The NAU Rural Health Advanced Practice Provider Post-Graduate Fellowship Program (The Fellowship Program) is an interprofessional training program in partnership with Northern Arizona University Department of Physician Assistant Studies (NAU DPAS) and the clinical partner training site.
