While I was there I had such amazing food and one dish that I missed the most when I came back was tzatziki which is a yogurt, cucumber dip. It\u2019s much more than just a simple dip for pita bread; you can put it on a burger or on flatbread with falafel (which is what I did, you can find falafel mix at most grocery stores). It is also really easy to make and tastes great. <\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ingredients:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-landscape-image wp-image-1905 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/176\/IMG_2726-464x348.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"464\" height=\"348\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1 cucumber <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1 small container of Greek yogurt <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2 cloves garlic, minced<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2 tbs olive oil <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1 tbs white vinegar <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00bd tsp salt<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1 tbs fresh dill, minced (optional) <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Steps:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Combine garlic, olive oil, vinegar, and salt with the yogurt<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cover and refrigerate it anywhere from 30 minutes to overnight (the more it sits the better it tastes) <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Grate the cucumber into a paper towel lined bowl so the excess water can drain<\/span><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-landscape-image wp-image-1904 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/176\/IMG_2727-464x348.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"464\" height=\"348\" \/>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pro tip- put something heavy like a mug or a glass on top to help the excess water drain<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Add the grated cucumber and dill into the yogurt mixture<\/span><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-landscape-image wp-image-1903 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/176\/IMG_2729-464x348.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"464\" height=\"348\" \/><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Enjoy!<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I hope you enjoy this recipe for Tzatziki; it is also great for parties and potlucks.
