NAU is trying to do their part in becoming more sustainable, which makes it even easier for students and faculty! These are some things that you can take part in to reduce your impact at NAU.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1865 size-uncropped-small\" src=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/176\/nau-300x103.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"103\" \/><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Dining<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &#8211; Bring your own containers, silverware, and straws! This prevents excess waste and allows you to reduce your impact. Another thing you can do is use the O2GO containers, all you have to do is ask for a reusable container when ordering food on campus, and then when you are finished eating return the container to the OZZI machine. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Recycle<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &#8211; Learn what you can and what you cannot recycle. You can recycle metal cans that are clean, paper and cardboard, plastic bottles, jugs, and jars. You cannot recycle plastic bags, aerosol cans or glass. Special items like glass can be taken to specific recycling plants. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Get Involved<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &#8211; NAU has so many educational clubs and events to help you become more sustainable! There are four gardens on campus that host events, the SLLUG Garden, Snail Garden, Shand Garden, and the Green House Research Complex.
