Did you know that geotagging locations on Instagram can attract more attention to them and damage them? Places like Horseshoe Bend, Angel\u2019s Landing, and Yosemite are being geotagged so much that people come from all over the world to get a picture with them. When these places are visited by more people they get damaged and overrun by those who do not respect the rules, and the location cannot recover. If you want to learn how to protect your favorite places, stay tuned.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1802 \" src=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/176\/mountain-232x174.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"297\" height=\"223\" \/><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><b>Don\u2019t geotag all your pictures<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &#8211; As much fun as it is to share places with your followers, keeping the location to yourself can help protect it. Others who know the place will hopefully do the same.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Respect the rules<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &#8211; People will do anything to get a selfie or picture of a geotagged location, even if it is dangerous.
