Before we get to our freedom, we need to overcome the monster itself: midterms.If you\u2019re having difficulty destressing, here is one method to help alleviate anxiety.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>MEDITATION<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-landscape-image wp-image-1346 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/176\/blogpic-12-464x156.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"464\" height=\"156\" \/><\/h3>\n<p><b><i>What is it? <\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Meditation comes from a Buddhist background and continues to aid people to this day. You don\u2019t have to focus on the philosophy, but this should be honed towards your health and well-being. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><i>Why should I do it?<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> While that may be unusual for some, meditating provides numerous benefits for your mental health and your body such as reduced anxiety, lowering stress, increasing mindfulness, <em>and so much more&#8230;<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><i>How do I meditate? <\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-short-banner-image-sm wp-image-1347 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/176\/blogpic-13-206x116.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"206\" height=\"116\" \/>The internet can provide you millions of methods to meditate. However, it\u2019s not too difficult to get started: <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">-You would want to sit upright in a chair or a comfy area<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">-Set an alarm for the amount of time you want to meditate <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">-Just close your eyes, breathing slowly and deeply. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Be present with every breath. You could be thinking about a lot of things, but try not to label these thoughts as \u201cgood\u201d or \u201cbad.\u201d Let them pass and continue to focus on breathing. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><i>Okay, I did that. Now what? <\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you struggled a little that\u2019s perfectly normal! Now, it\u2019s up to you if you want to schedule this in your day either early morning or at night when your day has ended.
