One day, we\u2019d be recognized and reap all the rewards that we deserve through our own blood, sweat, and tears. What hasn\u2019t been taught is to really understand how to overcome those times when we feel like our hard work isn\u2019t coming through.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Here are some ways to overcome failure and stay persistent:<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Talk It Out With Someone That Supports You<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-1266 size-short-banner-image-sm\" src=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/176\/blogpic1-2-180x116.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"180\" height=\"116\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Talking about the situation and how it made you feel can definitely lessen the stress and pressure of \u201chaving everything together.\u201d It\u2019s perfectly fine to not have everything together. You\u2019re only human. Becoming aware of these feelings can help you\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">get started on how to make a plan to get better.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Continue to Challenge Yourself<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Whenever you feel \u201cstuck\u201d in a rut, and it seems like you can\u2019t really pull yourself out of it. Push yourself to a degree that\u2019s doable and still more than you normally do. Can\u2019t go to the gym 4 times a week, but want a healthier lifestyle? Start off once a week. Want a better grade in class? Study for at least 30 minutes or more. You definitely want to start off with a plan embedded with little goals to help you get there. Continue to bump up the amount of what you\u2019re doing bit-by-bit once it starts feeling comfortable.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Reward Yourself<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-short-banner-image wp-image-1267 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/176\/blogpic2-3-205x240.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"205\" height=\"240\" \/>Great! So you\u2019ve started going to the gym 3 times a week, and you\u2019re able to sit down and study for a class for at least 45 minutes to an hour every other day. You\u2019ve got an A in your recent exam, or perhaps you\u2019ve lost 5 lbs. Reward yourself healthily when you reach those goals.
