The policy was created to meet the requirements of the CHIPS and Science Act of 2022 (Subtitle D Research Security, Sections 10631, 10632 and 10638 of the U.S. Public Law 117-167), which requires Covered Individuals (senior\/key personnel) to disclose participation in FTRPs and certify prior to proposal submission that they are not party to a Malign FTRP.<\/p>\n<p>To learn more and for definitions of Covered Individual, FTRPs, and Malign FTRPs in the <a href=\"https:\/\/nau.edu\/university-policy-library\/participation-in-foreign-talent-recruitment-programs\/\">University Policy Library<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>To comply with the policy, the Office of Sponsored Projects (OSP) has expanded and updated its significant financial interest disclosure form. The new <a href=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/147\/2024\/08\/Disclosure-of-SFI-and-FTRP-Form-1.5-1.pdf\">Significant Financial Interest and Foreign Talent Recruitment Program Disclosure form<\/a> must be completed by all Covered Individuals on a project before the proposal can by submitted by OSP.<\/p>\n<p>The updated form is available in the <a href=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/osp\/forms-worksheets-tools\/\">Forms, worksheets, &amp; tools<\/a> section of the OSP website.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Office of the Vice President for Research has published a new NAU policy, Participation in Foreign Talent Recruitment Programs (FTRP).
