Preparing your proposals in December
The Office of Sponsored Projects (OSP), along with NAU, will be closed Wednesday, December 25, 2024 through Wednesday, January 1, 2024. During the closure, the Office of Sponsored Projects will be unable to submit any proposals during this period. Please kindly work with your Pre-Award Research Administrator to ensure any proposals due during this time are prepared and submitted prior to Monday 23rd December at the latest. Multifactor Authentication Implementation for Research.gov
Effective October 27th, NSF will require additional log-in requirements for NSF websites. Please ensure you take time to register with your preferred multifactor Authentication (MFA) system, as prompted by NSF for all submissions on or after that date. The NSF helpdesk provides additional resources for any questions you may have. You may also reach out to your NAU Pre-Award Research Administrator should you need further support.
New NAU policy: Participation in Foreign Talent Recruitment Programs
The Office of the Vice President for Research has published a new NAU policy, Participation in Foreign Talent Recruitment Programs (FTRP). The policy was created to meet the requirements of the CHIPS and Science Act of 2022 (Subtitle D Research Security, Sections 10631, 10632 and 10638 of the U.S. Public Law 117-167), which requires Covered Individuals (senior/key personnel) to disclose participation in FTRPs and certify prior to proposal submission that they are not party to a Malign FTRP. Updates to NSF proposal submission requirements
Beginning May 20, 2024, in accordance with Section 10623 of the CHIPS and Science Act, each individual identified as a senior/key person on an NSF grant will be required to certify prior to proposal submission and annually thereafter for the duration of the award that they are not a party to a malign foreign talent recruitment program.
