Hi, I’m Dewei (David) Meng, your Instructor for this lesson. I attended the University of Illinois at Chicago and graduated in 2015 with a Doctorate degree in Civil Engineering. After I worked as a research engineer for 2.5 years, I started my Masters study in Computer Science at Georgia Tech, and I am graduating this fall! I used to be a teaching assistant during my Ph.D., and this is my first-semester teaching CIT courses at NAU. I am looking forward to working with you through this program.

Courses Taught: Computer Information Technology

Hobbies:  I enjoy playing tennis and hiking.

Personal Anecdote:  I’m from northeastern China and went to college in Shanghai. I crave all Chinese food!

Statement of Educational Philosophy: I believe the purpose of education is to make one a better person. And I believe there is more than one path to success. My role is to provide all the necessities to the students and let them enjoy their personalized learning experiences. I also expect the students to share their experiences with me so that we can grow together.
