{"id":806,"date":"2019-02-05T21:03:57","date_gmt":"2019-02-05T21:03:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nau.edu\/undergraduate-research\/?page_id=806"},"modified":"2026-01-29T00:34:42","modified_gmt":"2026-01-29T00:34:42","slug":"urdea-undergraduate-research-award","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/office-undergraduate-research\/urdea-undergraduate-research-award\/","title":{"rendered":"Urdea Collaborative Research Award"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Urdea Collaborative Research Award<\/h1>\n<h3>Purpose<\/h3>\n<p>The intent of the Urdea Collaborative Research Award is to encourage interdisciplinary projects between undergraduate students from the Steve Sanghi College of Engineering and the College of the Environment, Forestry, and Natural Sciences in research, scholarly, and creative activities supervised by a faculty mentor.<\/p>\n<h3>Eligibility<\/h3>\n<p>This award is for NAU students, including all undergraduates or a team that includes one graduate.\u00a0 Students must be:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>enrolled as a full-time student in an undergraduate program for both the fall and spring semesters of the award year; and<\/li>\n<li>in good academic standing at the time of application and during the period in which the project is funded.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Award<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The maximum award is <strong>$7,500<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Compensation for student personnel is <strong>$16.50\/hour<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Applications will be accepted\u00a0<b>February 1 &#8211;
