 \n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"studentswithfinancialneed\">Additional funding for students with financial need<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Federal Pell Grants are awarded to students with financial need who are pursuing their first bachelor\u2019s degree. With rare exception, they do not need to be repaid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"howtoapply\">Eligibility and how to apply<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The first (and basically only) step in being offered a federal Pell Grant is filing your Free Application for <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/studentaid.gov\/h\/apply-for-aid\/fafsa\" target=\"_blank\">Federal Student Aid<\/a> (FAFSA). The information on your FAFSA will determine whether you are eligible for a Pell Grant and for what amount. The maximum Federal Pell Grant award is $7,395 for the 2024\u201325 award year. Not all students will receive the maximum amount. The amount each student will receive is based on the eligibility factors listed above.<\/p>\n<p>NAU\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/app.meadowfi.com\/nau\">Net Price Calcuator<\/a> is a great way to estimate whether you are eligible for the Pell Grant, as well as what other scholarships and financial aid you might receive.<\/p>\n\n    \n\n<\/section>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"pellgrantaward\">Year-round Pell<\/h2>\n\n\n<section         class=\"nau-article-block-simple-color-text-photo bg-true-blue \">\n    \n\n    \n        <hr role=\"none\" class=\"hr-clearspace-20 d-none-md\">\n\n                        <p>In certain situations, an eligible student can receive up to 150 percent of their Pell Grant award for an award year.<\/p>\n<p>For example, if you were eligible for a $2,000 Pell Grant for the year and are enrolled full-time for both fall and spring term, you\u2019d likely receive $1,000 in the fall and $1,000 in spring.
