id=\"whatarethey\">What they are and how they can help you<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>By completing a consortium agreement, an undergraduate student&nbsp;can:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\"><li>attend both NAU <strong>and<\/strong> another accredited higher education institution (including a community college) at the same time; AND<br><\/li><li>receive federal financial aid at NAU to help cover costs at both schools<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"thethreetypes\">Types of consortium agreements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<section  \n    class=\"nau-block (CEP)<\/h3>\n                                                \n                                                                                                    <div class=\"text\">\n                                                        <ul>\n<li>The CEP Consortium Agreement is only for students enrolled in the Nursing Concurrent Enrollment Program. All other students seeking a consortium agreement will use one of the other options listed below<\/li>\n<li>This consortium agreement is required for all CEP nursing students, each fall and spring semester. There is no CEP consortium agreement for summer.<\/li>\n<li>This agreement is initiated through NAU.<\/li>\n<li>CEP Nursing students who are not taking the CEP Nursing block courses at their community college for a given semester must submit the NAU As Parent consortium agreement (with an NAU advisor signature in the 90\/30 programs section).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n                                                    <\/div>\n                                                \n                                                                                                                                                        <span role=\"none\" class=\"panel-link panelLinkTypeArrow\"><\/span>\n                                                                                            <\/div>\n                                        <\/div>\n\n                                    \n                                                                    <\/a>\n                                \n                                                        <\/div>\n                    \n                        <div class=\"panel bg-sunset  panelTypeText  noHover  hasLink panelLinkTypeArrow\"\n                            data-role=\"tabpanel\"\n                            data-panel=\"panel--1\"\n                            id=\"panel--1\">\n\n                                                            <a href=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/office-scholarships-financial-aid\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/390\/2025\/10\/NAU-as-Parent-Consortium-Form.pdf\"\n                                    target=\"\"\n                                    alt=\"\">\n                            \n                                                                    <div class=\"content\">\n                                            <div class=\"text-wrapper\">\n                                                                                                <h3 class=\"\">NAU as \u201cparent school\u201d<\/h3>\n                                                \n                                                                                                    <div class=\"text\">\n                                                        <ul>\n<li>This means a concurrent student will attend both NAU and another school but will receive their federal financial aid <em>from NAU<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>After NAU (known as the \u201cParent School\u201d) charges are paid, use your potential financial aid refund to pay tuition at your other institution (known as the \u201cNon-Parent School\u201d). Students need to pay attention to payment deadlines at their Non-Parent School to ensure classes are not dropped for non-payment.<\/li>\n<li>Mid-ADN to BSN students and all non-CEP concurrent students would submit this agreement.<\/li>\n<li>Do not apply if you\u2019re already enrolled in 12 or more credit hours at NAU; <strong>you\u2019re already receiving the full amount of financial aid allowed.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Eligible students must be enrolled in a minimum of six credit hours at NAU.<\/li>\n<li>Students who are receiving NAU Merit Scholarships or NAU Transfer Scholarships must be enrolled in a minimum of <strong>six<\/strong>\u00a0credit hours at NAU.<\/li>\n<li>This agreement is initiated through NAU.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n                                                    <\/div>\n                                                \n                                                                                                                                                        <span role=\"none\" class=\"panel-link panelLinkTypeArrow\"><\/span>\n                                                                                            <\/div>\n                                        <\/div>\n\n                                    \n                                                                    <\/a>\n                                \n                                                        <\/div>\n                    \n                        <div class=\"panel bg-green  panelTypeText  noHover  hasLink panelLinkTypeArrow\"\n                            data-role=\"tabpanel\"\n                            data-panel=\"panel--2\"\n                            id=\"panel--2\">\n\n                                                            <a href=\"mailto: Consortium@nau.edu\"\n                                    target=\"_blank\"\n                                    alt=\"Contact us\">\n                            \n                                                                    <div class=\"content\">\n                                            <div class=\"text-wrapper\">\n                                                                                                <h3 class=\"\">NAU as \u201cnon-parent school\u201d<\/h3>\n                                                \n                                                                                                    <div class=\"text\">\n                                                        <ul>\n<li>In this category, a concurrent student would attend both NAU and another school but would be receiving federal financial aid from their other college or institution. The other college or institution would be considered \u201cparent school.\u201d NAU would be considered the \u201cnon-parent school.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Students will be responsible for contacting their parent school and obtaining that school\u2019s consortium form and sending the form to NAU at Consortium@nau.edu for NAU to verify enrollment at NAU.<\/li>\n<li>The Consortium Manager will complete the form and send the form back to the student to submit to their parent school. Students should allow 14 business days for NAU to complete the form and return it.<\/li>\n<li>This agreement would be initiated through the student\u2019s \u201cparent school.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n                                                    <\/div>\n                                                \n                    <\/div>\n                                        <\/div>\n\n                                    \n                                                                    <\/a>\n                                \n                                                        <\/div>\n                                                <\/div>\n\n                    <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n<p><em>A consortium agreement does not change the<strong> types<\/strong> of financial aid offered to students, but <strong>can <\/strong>increase the amount of a Pell Grant.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"parentschool\">How to submit an NAU as parent school consortium agreement<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Once a student completes and signs the consortium agreement, the student must submit the completed agreement to <a href=\"mailto:Consortium@nau.edu\">Consortium@nau.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Incomplete forms will be returned to the student for completion.<\/li><li>It is the student\u2019s responsibility to obtain the proper signatures from the non-parent school\u2019s financial aid office.<\/li><li>Students who are in the 90\/30 program are responsible for obtaining signature from their 90\/30 instructors or program advisors.<\/li><li>The Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid will work with the Admissions Office to obtain the signatures on the Admissions section of the form.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"deadlines\">Deadlines<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To ensure the consortium agreement is processed before financial aid disbursement, submit the completed consortium agreement by the following Priority Deadlines:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Fall: Aug. 1<\/li><li>Spring: Dec. 1<\/li><li>Summer: May 1<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The final deadline to submit a consortium agreement is 7 days prior to the NAU 100% tuition refund date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Specific dates for each term can be found on <a href=\"http:\/\/legacy.nau.edu\/SDAS\">Student and Departmental Account Services<\/a>.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"additionalinformation\">Additional information<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Learn more about the different types of consortium agreements and which one is right for you:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\t\t<script src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/nau-marketing-2021\/js\/accordion.js\"><\/script>\n\n\t\t<div class=\"accordion accordion-flush my-5\">\n\n\t\t\n\t\t\t<div class=\"accordion-item\">\n\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"accordion-header\" id=\"collapse-Eligibility1-header\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<button class=\"accordion-button collapsed\" type=\"button\" data-bs-toggle=\"collapse\" data-bs-target=\"#collapse-Eligibility1\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"collapse-Eligibility1\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\tEligibility\t\t\t\t\t<\/button>\n\t\t\t\t<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t<div id=\"collapse-Eligibility1\" class=\"accordion-collapse collapse \" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"collapse-Eligibility1-header\" style=\"\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"accordion-body\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<ul>\n<li>Students enrolled in 12 or more credit hours at NAU or at another institution are not eligible for a consortium agreement, as they are already receiving the full amount of financial aid allowed.<\/li>\n<li>Students must be enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours at NAU and less than full-time at the non-parent school.<\/li>\n<li>Students receiving Tuition Scholarships will only have their Tuition Scholarship apply to approved charges for NAU credits.\u202fFor example, if a student is enrolled in six credits at NAU and six credits at the non-parent school, their scholarship will only be applicable to the charges on the student\u2019s NAU account.<\/li>\n<li>Students must be eligible for financial aid and must either meet NAU Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) standards or be on SAP Probation status.<\/li>\n<li>Non-parent school courses must be transferable to NAU and approved by NAU Admissions and Enrollment Services.<\/li>\n<li>Non-parent school courses must not be repeat courses.<\/li>\n<li>Students seeking a consortium agreement may have no more than 64 transfer credits, with the exception of students enrolled in one of the following programs: 90\/30 Interdisciplinary Studies, RN\/BSN program, or other NAU programs that allow more than 64 credits to be transferred toward an NAU degree. There is no transfer limit for students taking their non-parent courses at Arizona Western College.<\/li>\n<li>Consideration of special circumstances may be granted on a case-by-case basis.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\t<div class=\"accordion-item\">\n\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"accordion-header\" id=\"collapse-Student-responsibilities-2-header\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<button class=\"accordion-button collapsed\" type=\"button\" data-bs-toggle=\"collapse\" data-bs-target=\"#collapse-Student-responsibilities-2\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"collapse-Student-responsibilities-2\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\tStudent responsibilities \t\t\t\t\t<\/button>\n\t\t\t\t<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t<div id=\"collapse-Student-responsibilities-2\" class=\"accordion-collapse collapse \" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"collapse-Student-responsibilities-2-header\" style=\"\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"accordion-body\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<ul>\n<li>Students withdrawing from their courses are required to provide a written statement to both NAU\u2019s Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid as well as the non-parent school detailing their withdrawal decision.<\/li>\n<li>It is the student\u2019s responsibility to be prepared to pay their tuition, fees, and books at the non-parent institution using their own funding resources or by payment plan at the non-parent institution. Once financial aid is disbursed by NAU to the student, it is the student\u2019s responsibility to use financial aid refunds (if any) to pay the non-parent institution. NAU does not send payment to the non-parent institution.\n<ul>\n<li>Student is required to submit an official transcript from the non-parent school to the NAU University Admissions at the end of the semester for which the agreement is approved.
