Office of Curriculum and Assessment supports academic leaders and faculty to ensure that curriculum and assessment activities on campus:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>inform and strengthen teaching and learning<\/li>\n<li>articulate and define program and course curricula and student learning outcomes<\/li>\n<li>provide systematic, ongoing assessment of student learning<\/li>\n<li>meet the standards for degree program accreditation, as well as the Higher Learning Commission, Northern Arizona University\u2019s institutional accrediting body, and<\/li>\n<li>accurately publish curricular requirements in the academic catalog.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We advance the academic strategic priorities of curriculum and assessment through a range of efforts, such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>supporting faculty and academic leaders\u2019 development of and\/or modifications to academic programs (<a href=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/curriculum-assessment-accreditation\/request-for-proposals-process\/\">Program Request Process<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li>supporting faculty and academic leaders\u2019 achievement of the Faculty Senate-approved <a href=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/ocldaa\/assessment-process\/\">Degree Program Expectations<\/a><\/li>\n<li>providing extensive support and assistance to the <a href=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/curriculum-and-assessment\/college-curriculum-and-assessment-committees\">College Curriculum and Assessment Committees<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/curriculum-and-assessment\/faculty-senate-curriculum-and-assessment-committees\/\">Faculty Senate Curriculum and Assessment Committees<\/a><\/li>\n<li>providing guidance and support for curriculum and assessment for the General Studies Program and the Diversity requirements<\/li>\n<li>coordinating <a href=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/curriculum-assessment-accreditation\/academic-program-review\/\">academic review processes<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/ocldaa\/assessment-process\/\">annual curriculum and assessment reporting requirements, <\/a>and<\/li>\n<li>engaging at the national level with assessment and curriculum in higher education communities to sustain knowledge of trends and
