In order to schedule an appointment you may either <a href=\"tel:9285237745\">call<\/a> or <a href=\"mailto:iwriting@nau.edu\">email<\/a>. Please visit their website for <a href=\"https:\/\/legacy.nau.edu\/university-writing-commons\/\">additional information<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Learning Coordinator <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The Learning Coordinator supports currently enrolled students in the development of affective \/ cognitive \/ social learning that is required of today\u2019s healthcare providers. The coordinator works collaboratively with individual program faculty to assess student needs and institute strategies to improve student learning. Please reach out to the Learning Coordinator directly to set up an appointment.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Disab<\/strong><strong>ility resources<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Students accepted to the program who may need accommodations for one or more documented disabilities in major life activities, including but not limited to walking, talking, learning, hearing, or seeing should contact Disability Resources (DR).\u00a0 DR provides services and accommodations at no cost to all Northern Arizona University students.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the services and accommodations include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assistive technology devices and services<\/li>\n<li>Sign language interpreting<\/li>\n<li>Test-taking accommodations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Additional information regarding the services and accommodations offered may be obtained from the NAU <a title=\"Disability Resources\" href=\"https:\/\/legacy.nau.edu\/Disability-Resources\/\">Disability Resources<\/a> office (<a href=\"tel:9285238773\">1-928-523-8773<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>Students who have had services or accommodations provided by DR before are encourage to contact their office as soon as possible after being accepted in to the OTD program.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Financial aid<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Once you are accepted into the program, a variety of scholarships and student loans may be available to you.\u00a0 The actual amount of financial aid money that is available each year varies.<\/p>\n<p>Additional information regarding financial assistance may be obtained from the NAU <a title=\"Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid\" href=\"https:\/\/legacy.nau.edu\/finaid\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid<\/a> (1-855-628-633).<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Health care and counseling services<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>General medical services and counseling services are offered to NAU students on the Phoenix Bioscience Core at Arizona State University facilities per the Arizona tri-universities agreement.<\/p>\n<p>Medical services offered include primary and urgent care, chronic care, immunizations, laboratory services, pharmacy services, prevention services, and radiology services.\u00a0 OTD students can purchase health insurance through NAU that is accepted at all three state universities in Arizona.\u00a0 For more information visit the NAU <a title=\"Medical Services\" href=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/campus-health-services\/#\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Medical Services<\/a> office (<a href=\"tel:9285232131\">1-928-523-2131<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>Counseling services are offered to provide personal and crisis services for students experiencing emotional concerns, problems in adjusting and other factors that affect their ability to achieve their academic and personal goals.\u00a0 Students should know all counseling services are confidential.<\/p>\n<p>For more information on medical services available to OTD students please visit ASU <a title=\"HealthServices\" href=\"https:\/\/eoss.asu.edu\/health\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Health Services<\/a>\u00a0<u><\/u>at (<a href=\"tel:6024960721\">602-496-0721<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>For more information on counseling services please visit ASU <a title=\"Counseling Services\" href=\"https:\/\/eoss.asu.edu\/counseling\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Counseling Services<\/a> at (<a href=\"tel:6024961155\">602-496-1155<\/a>).<\/p>\n<h2>WICHE PSEP and NAU OTD<\/h2>\n<p>Northern Arizona University Department of Occupational Therapy has been approved to accept students through the Professional Student Exchange Program (PSEP) of the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE). This program permits students from Alaska, Hawaii, Montana, Wyoming and Nevada to attend graduate school with a \u201csupport fee\u201d to reduce the cost of the non-resident rate. The PSEP is funded by their home states to encourage their citizens to pursue advanced degrees in occupational therapy. We warmly welcome students from those states to consider attending our accredited doctoral program.
