What is Fulbright?<\/h2>\n

Fulbright is the flagship educational, international exchange program increasing mutual understanding between people from the United States and around the globe. Sponsored by the US government, Fulbright provides many international travel, teaching, and research opportunities for our students, faculty members, and staff. UK Summer Institutes<\/a><\/p>\n

Fulbright offers four-week summer opportunities at various UK universities for first- and second-year undergraduate students who have not yet traveled abroad.<\/p>\n

Fulbright US Student Program<\/a><\/p>\n

The US Student Program offers 10-month grants for undergraduate seniors, graduate students, and alumni traveling to over 160 countries—with no age limit.<\/p>\n

For US and EU citizens, the Commission for Educational Exchange between the United States and Belgium\/Luxembourg funds graduate and post-graduate study, research, and lecture proposals in the fields of US–EU relations, EU policy, and EU institutions.<\/p>\n

Faculty and professionals serve as expert consultants on curriculum, faculty development, institutional planning, and related subjects at academic institutions abroad for a period of two to six weeks.<\/p>\n

Fulbright International Education Administrators Program<\/a><\/p>\n

Seminar program helping international education professionals and senior higher education officials from the United States create empowering connections with other countries’ societal, cultural, and higher education systems.<\/p>\n

Fulbright Distinguished Awards in Teaching Program<\/a><\/p>\n

Primary and secondary school teachers travel abroad for three to six months while pursuing individual projects, conducting research, pursuing professional development, and sharing their expertise with local teachers and students.<\/p>\n

Fulbright-Fogarty Fellowships in Public Health<\/a><\/p>\n

In partnership with the Fogarty International Center at the US National Institutes of Health, this program provides nine-month public health and clinical research opportunities in one of nine countries, in Sub-Saharan Africa, Asia, and South America, to medical and graduate students.<\/p>\n

Fulbright Teachers for Global Classrooms<\/a><\/p>\n

This professional development fellowship for US elementary, middle, and high school teachers aims to globalize US classrooms through an online professional development course, a Global Education Symposium held in Washington, DC, and a two- to three-week international field experience.<\/p>\n

Fulbright Travel-Only Grants<\/a><\/p>\n

Fulbright Foreign Student Program<\/a><\/p>\n

Enables non-US graduate students, young professionals, and artists from abroad to study and conduct research in the United States.<\/p>\n

Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant (FLTA)<\/a><\/p>\n

Provides young, non-US English as a Foreign Language teachers the opportunity to refine their skills and broaden their knowledge of American cultures and customs while strengthening foreign language instruction at US colleges and universities.<\/p>\n

International scholar grants<\/h5>\n

Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence Program<\/a><\/p>\n

US higher education institutions may submit proposals to host Fulbright lecturers from abroad for one or both semesters in an academic year.<\/p>\n

Fulbright-Schuman Program<\/a><\/p>\n

Brings Iraqi scholars in select fields to US institutions for approximately three months of faculty development, research, and guided study.
