The university is enhancing its commitment to promote a welcoming and inclusive campus for anyone with a disability.<\/p>\n
NAU’s Americans with Disabilities Act committee has evolved into the Commission on Disability Access and Design and is now an official advisory group to the Office of the President.<\/p>\n
“We intend to increase our collaborations with the university community to create a welcoming, supportive and inclusive university community free from physical and attitudinal barriers to services, programs and activities,” said\u00a0Chris Lanterman<\/strong>, chair of the commission and a lecturer in the College of Education.<\/p>\n The commission will meet on the third Thursday of each month and welcomes participants interested in disability issues.
