She was 60.<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Jiron came to NAU in October, 1979, and held a number of positions within the department\u2019s custodial area over the 32 years she worked for Northern Arizona University.<\/p>\n<p>She is survived by her husband Euracio (Lasso); son Guy (Soledad) Savage; daughter Jo Emma (Lucky) Largo; sisters Carolyn Webb and Jo Savage; brothers Pete Savage and Jud Savage; five grandsons and two granddaughters; and her extended family, the Jirons, including her stepchildren, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><a class=\"search-results-excerpt-link\" href=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/news\/obituary-joy-elaine-savage-jiron-longtime-employee-of-capital-assets-and-services\/\">Joy Elaine Savage Jiron, a custodial area supervisor for Capital Assets and Services, died July 20, 2011.
