Northern Arizona University has lowered season and single-game ticket prices for the 2012 football season\u2014a bold move to reenergize Lumberjack pride and draw more fans to the remodeled Walkup Skydome<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have listened to the community in response to our ticketing policies and have made changes to our prices and options for both season and single-game tickets,\u201d said Lisa Campos<\/strong>, vice president for Intercollegiate Athletics. \u201cWe are excited about the upcoming season and hope the Flagstaff community will join us.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NAU made the announcement during a \u201cCreating Lumberjack Pride\u201d press conference today at the Skydome.<\/p>\n

\u201cCommunity support for Northern Arizona University is more important than ever to our success,\u201d said NAU President John Haeger<\/strong>. “Making our games more affordable is another way to increase that support.\u201d<\/p>\n

Season tickets are now on sale. Prices start at $120 for the new Family Pack, a general admission season package including two adult and two youth tickets (12 and younger) for each game\u2014which equals $6 per person per game. Additional youth tickets may be purchased for $30.<\/p>\n

Reserved season tickets are $100 for adults with a reduced rate of $90 for NAU faculty and staff. Youth reserved season tickets are $65 for the five-game season.<\/p>\n

NAU students will continue to get free admission to games.<\/p>\n

Premium reserved season tickets are available for $110 with a membership in the Lumberjack Athletic Association.<\/p>\n

Fans who renew or purchase season tickets before July 31 will receive a free ticket to the NAU vs. Arizona State football game for each season ticket purchased.<\/p>\n

Individual game tickets will be available for sale Aug. 18. Reserved single-game tickets are $20 for the three contests against Ft. Lewis, Southern Utah and Cal Poly, while single-game tickets for Family Weekend (Sept. 29) and Homecoming (Oct. 20) games are $25. General admission single-game tickets are now $10, and the two priority weekend games are $15.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe want our fans to be able to come to the Skydome and bring their families,\u201d said head coach Jerome Souers<\/strong>. \u201cEstablishing the home field advantage will only add to the reputation of the building and the difficulty of playing at elevation for visiting teams. It makes the games more fun, too.\u201d<\/p>\n

Season and single-game ticket prices for soccer, volleyball and men\u2019s and women\u2019s basketball will be announced later.<\/p>\n

An NAU Sports Pass for 2012-13 also was announced, giving fans general admission to all soccer, volleyball, women\u2019s basketball and track and field home events for $50.<\/p>\n
