Parking permits for the 2008-09 academic year are now available online at the Parking Services web site.<\/p>\n
Most parking permit prices will increase for next year as part of the\u00a0tiered-increase proposal adopted three years ago<\/a>. For example, an AE permit will increase by $30 to $222. For a complete list of fees or to order your permit for next academic year, go to\u00a0www.nau.edu\/parking<\/a>.<\/p>\n Parking fees are used to pay for shuttle service, motorist assistance, and maintenance and payoff of the central campus garage. A portion also is used for the NAU Police Department.<\/p>\n Some prices for parking regulation violations will increase as well. For a listing, go to the Parking Services web site.<\/p>\n On-campus parking continues to evolve as part of NAU’s master plan to become a more pedestrian-friendly campus by closing some surface parking and adding green space.<\/p>\n Student parking lots 20 and 21, near Raymond Hall and Cowden Learning Community, will close before the beginning of the fall semester, but parking will be available in the 800-spot parking garage across from Ardrey Auditorium.<\/p>\n The lots will be turned into green space, part of the university’s plan to eliminate some of the 65 acres of surface parking. NAU’s Mountain Campus Transit will continue to offer free and timely shuttle services.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
