Stoller<\/strong>, English professor, recently published the second edition of\u00a0<em>Teaching and Researching Reading<\/em>, with Pearson Longman. The volume is part of Longman&#8217;s\u00a0<em>Applied Linguistics in Action<\/em>\u00a0series.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ken Lorek<\/strong>, the Ralph M. Bilby Endowed Chair in The W.A. Franke College of Business, had an article titled &#8220;The Impact of Accruals and Lines of Business on Analysts&#8217; Earnings Forecast Superiority&#8221; accepted for publication in the\u00a0<em>Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting.<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Several members of the NAU community have played a role in this year\u2019s Flagstaff Mountain Film Festival.<strong>\u00a0Kurt Lancaster<\/strong>, associate professor in the School of Communication, serves as a co-director. The festival jury includes\u00a0<strong>Astrid Klocke<\/strong>, associate professor of humanities and coordinator of cinema studies;\u00a0<strong>Carissa Tsosie<\/strong>, library specialist for Cline Library; and NAU School of Communication faculty members\u00a0<strong>Janna Jones\u00a0<\/strong>and<strong>\u00a0Mark Neumann<\/strong>, who also are serving as advisers to the festival.\u00a0<strong>Elizabeth Hellstern<\/strong>, marketing specialist for the College of Arts and Letters, is the festival\u2019s media relations lead.Two films with NAU ties will screen during the festival\u2019s sixth session from noon to 3 p.m. on Oct. 15 at the Orpheum Theater.\u00a0<strong>Wolf Gumerman<\/strong>, director for NAU\u2019s Honors Program, along with the Hopi Footprints of the Ancestors team, directed and produced\u00a0<em><a href=\"http:\/\/flagstaffmountainfilms.org\/kawestima\/\">Kawestima<\/a><\/em>, and\u00a0<strong>Chris Gunn<\/strong>, director of Counseling Services, produced\u00a0<em><a href=\"http:\/\/flagstaffmountainfilms.org\/changing-gears\/\">Changing Gears: Flagstaff and the Mountain Bike<\/a><\/em>.\n<p>Students of Introductory Cinema and Visual Culture are engaged in festival tasks as film reviewers, Twitter reporters, VIP hosts, audience survey designers, ballot assistants and class presenters.\u00a0<strong>Corina Roche<\/strong>, English major and cinema studies minor, has been the festival&#8217;s student intern for the past year.<\/p>\n<p>The festival runs Oct. 12-16 with film screenings held in room 120 of NAU Liberal Arts (bldg. 18), at the Orpheum Theater at 15 West Aspen Avenue, and at Sundara Boutique, 22 E. Route 66.
