With years of experience in international travel, she brings a\u00a0global perspective to her work, helping Lumberjacks find the best fit for their\u00a0study\u00a0abroad experiences. Not to\u00a0mention,\u00a0Flagstaff has a plethora of hiking opportunities, irresistible cafes, caring\u00a0people\u00a0and an impressive arts scene. I also wanted to live closer to the Grand Canyon since\u00a0I&#8217;m\u00a0writing\u00a0a futuristic novel set there. I also enjoy the professional development opportunities and being based in the Blome\u00a0building on a beautiful section of campus. Another favorite part of my job is seeing the students I advise develop and expand their sense of self,\u00a0from having the seed of studying abroad planted in their minds and watching it grow and\u00a0ultimately seeing\u00a0them thrive while studying abroad and\u00a0accomplish\u00a0huge things upon return. Take ownership of your study abroad experience and make the most out of it\u2014define what it means for you to have a successful time studying abroad. Imagine how you can foster a reciprocal relationship with the community you will be living with. How could you become involved with community engagement?
