Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and whether you’re single, spoken for or simply looking to celebrate Arizona Statehood Day in style, NAU has an event for you.<\/span><\/p>\n

All week, campus is buzzing with a diverse variety of events designed to celebrate love in all of its beauty, messiness and misery. From movie screenings to craft nights to yoga sessions, there\u2019s no shortage of ways to have fun on, before and after Feb. 14. Read on for a dozen of our most anticipated events\u2014which will you choose?<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Love is Love Crafts<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>
\n<\/span>Monday, Feb. 10-Friday, Feb. 14<\/span>
\n<\/span>Room 134, University Union Fieldhouse<\/span>
\n<\/span>The Office of Inclusion is celebrating the power of love and creativity with a week-long event for LGBTQIA+ students. Embrace your artistic spirit as you engage in various craft activities, fostering self-expression, connection and a sense of pride in a safe environment. On Monday, come by for <\/span>Colors & Connection<\/span><\/a>, a vibrant workshop where art, creativity and conversation come together\u2014or attend Wednesday\u2019s <\/span>Crafting and Consent<\/span><\/a> event, where you can practice healthy communication strategies prioritizing consent while getting artistic.\u202f<\/span><\/p>\n

Sexual Health Fair<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>

Dog Days<\/a>

\n<\/span>For those who\u2019d take puppy love over romance any day, here\u2019s your chance to take a break and hang with the friendliest, fuzziest local therapy pups and their equally friendly humans.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Lovers and Friends: Pajama Party<\/a>

\n<\/span>Celebrate Black love and joy with the Office of Inclusion! Come dressed for comfort and enjoy a photo booth, snacks and a Black History Month-themed movie screening.<\/span><\/p>\n

Prochnow Movie Series: \u201810 Things I Hate About You\u2019<\/a>

\n<\/span>SUN Entertainment\u2019s free February offering features the iconic 1999 rom-com inspired by Shakespeare\u2019s \u201cThe Taming of the Shrew.\u201d Your NAU ID gets you free admission, popcorn and beverages. Doors open at 7 p.m.\u202f<\/span><\/p>\n

Roses for Ronald<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>

\n<\/span>Want to surprise your loved ones with fresh flowers? Buy them from NAU sorority Alpha Delta Pi and know your money is going to a good cause! All proceeds will directly benefit the Ronald McDonald House of Central and Northern Arizona. One rose is $4, three roses are $10 and a dozen roses are $30.\u202f<\/span><\/p>\n

Wrapped in Love: Real Talk on Healthy Relationships<\/a>

\n<\/span>Whether you\u2019re single, partnered or somewhere in between, celebrate National Condom Day and Healthy Relationship Week by stocking up on free condoms and other sexual health supplies, learning about consent and exploring the key components of communication, trust and boundaries.\u202f<\/span><\/p>\n

Concert: Romantic Rhapsody<\/a>
\n<\/strong>Friday, Feb. 14, 7:30-10 p.m.<\/span>
\n<\/span>Ardrey Auditorium, Kitt School of Music<\/span>
\n<\/span>Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra hosts an evening of romance featuring some of the most beautiful music ever composed and tales of star-crossed lovers. The concert features Camille Saint-Sa\u00ebns\u2019 \u201cBacchanale,\u201d which tells the story of a hero and the femme fatale who seduces him into revealing the secret of his strength; part of Richard Wagner\u2019s \u201cTristan und Isolde,\u201d about a doomed love affair between a knight and an Irish princess; and Sergei Rachmaninoff\u2019s \u201cRhapsody on a Theme of Paganini,\u201d a dazzling rollercoaster that\u2019s equal parts romance and devilish fun. Hungry Hearts Cabaret<\/a>

\n<\/span>Light your fire with something a little flirty and a little fulfilling co-hosted by SUN Entertainment. This show starts with a panel of local experts who will answer all your burning questions about love and sex. Then, it launches into a sizzling hot cabaret performance with Momentum Aerial\u2019s talented performers. The show is free for NAU students.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Swing Jacks Beginner Lesson & Social<\/a>
