For the third consecutive year, Northern Arizona University has been named a Fulbright HSI (Hispanic-Serving Institution) Leader for 2024.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The annual recognition from the U.S. Department of State\u2019s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs recognizes strong engagement with the Fulbright Program, the U.S. government’s flagship international academic exchange program. Fulbright HSI Leaders were announced Sunday at the annual conference of the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI am thrilled that NAU has been recognized for the third time in furthering the important global work of the Fulbright Program, which has long been a partner of our university,\u201d NAU President Jos\u00e9 Luis Cruz Rivera<\/strong> said. \u201cNAU and Fulbright share a commitment to learn and engage locally and globally and to ensure that students of all backgrounds have access to a variety of learning opportunities, and I am proud to see how many Lumberjacks take advantage of these opportunities to study and research throughout the world.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The 51 Fulbright HSI Leaders <\/span>demonstrate significant support for Fulbright exchange participants and encourage administrators, faculty and students at HSIs to engage with Fulbright on campus. The Fulbright HSI Leaders Initiative also highlights the strength of HSIs as destinations for international students and scholars.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
