{"id":71689,"date":"2024-03-18T11:47:58","date_gmt":"2024-03-18T18:47:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/news\/?p=71689"},"modified":"2024-03-19T09:49:28","modified_gmt":"2024-03-19T16:49:28","slug":"sasi-2024","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/news\/sasi-2024\/","title":{"rendered":"Student Affairs celebrates 20 years of student success strategies\u00a0\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Student Affairs Strategic Initiatives (SASI) will host the 20<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">th<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> anniversary<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/student-affairs-strategic-initiatives\/welcome\/showcase-of-strategies-for-student-success\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0Showcase of Strategies for Student Success<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, an event that features poster presentations and conversation tables focused on promoting academic improvement methods.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The showcase will be held on Tuesday, March 26, from 2-5 p.m. at the International Pavilion, themed, \u201cPathways to Thriving Futures: Empowering Student Success Through Excellence, Inclusion, and Impact\u201d and include a President&#8217;s Welcome and Reflection with\u00a0<\/span><b>President Jos\u00e9 Luis Cruz Rivera<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0on his philosophy<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">of \u201crelentless welcome,\u201d an emphasis on empathetic faculty-student interactions, and \u201cacademic momentum,\u201d the promotion of student improvement and retention. Attendees will discuss how NAU can use these concepts to serve students.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Topics include <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">academic excellence, student success, commitment to Indigenous peoples, impactful scholarship, mission-driven and diverse faculty and staff, community engagement and sustainable stewardship of resources.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Posters are eligible for Judges\u2019 Choice and People\u2019s Choice awards.
