The 7th Annual Student Water Symposium (SWS) will run from April 10-12 and is now accepting abstracts covering any water-related topics. Students interested in participating must submit their abstracts by Friday, March 29.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The SWS is a student-organized, campus<\/span>–<\/span>wide event established in 2018 with the support of <\/span>Denielle Perry<\/span><\/b>, assistant professor in the School of Earth and Sustainability. This year’s theme is the freshwater challenge, and it seeks to bring awareness to global targets on water, climate and nature.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe symposium aims to connect the campus with the greater Flagstaff community for students to share their timely research with the public and network with professionals,\u201d said <\/span>Ericka Hubbard<\/span><\/b>, president of the Student Water Symposium.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

NAU encourages undergraduate and graduate students from all disciplines to collaborate and share their water-related research. Presentations must be in poster form or a 15-minute oral presentation. Prizes will be awarded to the top three presentations at the graduate and undergraduate levels.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
