Medoff is visiting the university for several weeks on a Fulbright Specialist grant.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Norm Medoff<\/strong>, professor of communication and director of the School of Communication, received a Fulbright Specialist grant to work with NHTV Breda University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands. The specialist program sends distinguished scholars in their respective disciplines to collaborate on two- to six-week projects at host institutions around the world.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Kristen Swanson<\/strong>, professor in the School of Communication, published &#8220;Souvenirs: Icons of Meaning, Commercialization and Commoditization&#8221; in\u00a0<em>Tourism Management<\/em>. The article was co-authored with Dallen Timothy, professor in the School of Community Resources and Development at Arizona State University.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Karen Plager<\/strong>, professor in the School of Nursing, and\u00a0<strong>Margaret Conger<\/strong>, professor emeritus in the School of Nursing, presented at the 2011 Global Health Conference in Montreal this week. Plager presented &#8220;Searchers\u2014One NGO&#8217;s Efforts to Expand Beyond Mission Hospitals to Community-Based Primary Health Care,&#8221; and Conger presented &#8220;Nurse Faculty Education in Liberia.&#8221; The conference was hosted by the Global Health Education Consortium, the Canadian Society for International Health and the Consortium of Universities for Global Health.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Nicole Costales<\/strong>, senior program coordinator for Extended Campuses, completed the 60-mile Arizona Susan G.
