For the second year in a row, the U.S. State Department recognized NAU as a 2023 Fulbright HSI Leader for its efforts in supporting U.S. and international students and faculty who benefit from participation in a variety of Fulbright opportunities.<\/p>\n
The distinction among Hispanic-Serving Institutes, announced Monday at the annual conference of Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities in Chicago, recognizes the engagement NAU has achieved with Fulbright exchange participants in the 2022-23 academic year, as well as promoting Fulbright opportunities on campus. Every year, the Fulbright Program funds research and teaching opportunities for NAU faculty, graduate students and alumni at universities throughout the world and brings international students and faculty to NAU to continue their work.<\/p>\n
Ensuring all students have access to a variety of high-impact educational opportunities, including study, research and service abroad, is a critical part of NAU\u2019s mission to prepare students for success in their lives and careers post-graduation. In addition, many NAU faculty are committed to international scholarly efforts. Fulbright is an important partner on both fronts, providing valuable opportunities for students and faculty and broadening connections to partner institutions throughout the world.<\/p>\n
