Lovett Art Museum presents an exhibition closing event for <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Things Not Seen: Art and Healing through Narratives of Hope, Grief, Loss, and Struggles for Self-Acceptance. <\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Join us for a moderated panel discussion with student artists featured in the exhibit at 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 18. Light refreshments will be available in the lobby before the discussion.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">A campus and community art project,<\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> Things Not Seen: Art and Healing through Narratives of Hope, Grief, Loss, and Struggles for Self-Acceptance, <\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">a<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ddresses suicide awareness\/mental health and the ways the arts and humanities use their voices to interpret the topic through personal narratives.\u202fThe project\u2019s foundation began in 2020 with student artistic interpretations of the topic following in Fall 2021 and Spring 2022. The pandemic led to a rise in mental health issues on campus and throughout the g<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">lobe. However, the stigma attached to struggles with mental health keeps most students silent from acknowledging their issues or seeking assistance. <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Things Not Seen\u202f<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">provides a space for students to express and engage with grief, loss, hope and the struggle for self-acceptance through the creative arts. <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Visitors can explore the exhibit at the Clara M.
