Use the ingredients below to add flavor to any low-sodium canned beans, or add them as you cook from dried beans. Really short on time? The quick version for those evenings is to have a few cans of Bush\u2019s Seasoned Recipe Black Beans.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1\u00a0tbsp.\u00a0olive oil<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd large\u00a0onion,\u00a0minced<\/li>\n<li>2 tomatoes,\u00a0minced or diced<\/li>\n<li>1\u00a0jalape\u00f1o,\u00a0minced (optional; seeds and veins removed if you don\u2019t want it spicy)<\/li>\n<li>1\u00a0tsp.\u00a0minced garlic\u00a0(about 2 cloves)<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd tsp.\u00a0ground cumin<\/li>\n<li>\u00bc tsp.\u00a0dried oregano<\/li>\n<li>\u00bc tsp.\u00a0smoked paprika<\/li>\n<li>1\u00a015oz. can\u00a0black beans\u00a0(no salt preferred)<\/li>\n<li>1\u00a0tbsp.\u00a0lime juice\u00a0(about the amount of juice in 1\/2 lime)<\/li>\n<li>salt,\u00a0to taste<\/li>\n<li>taco shells<\/li>\n<li>chopped greens &#8211; lettuce or baby spinach<\/li>\n<li>Optional: taco sauce, Trappey\u2019s Hot Peppers in Vinegar for a little kick, and chopped cilantro for garnish. Add a little vegan sour cream if you like.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Instructions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Preheat oven to 325 degrees for the taco shells.<\/p>\n<p>Heat oil in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Add onion, half of the diced tomatoes, jalape\u00f1o, and spices. Stir and saut\u00e9 for five minutes, until onions have softened and become translucent. During this time, warm the taco shells in the oven for 5-7 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Add the undrained black beans, stir and bring to a simmer. Remove from heat and stir in lime juice and salt.<\/p>\n<p>Assemble your tacos.
