Northern Arizona University has a new process for becoming an <\/span>a<\/span>uthorized <\/span>d<\/span>river<\/span>.<\/span> As of<\/span> July <\/span>6<\/span>, applications to become an NAU <\/span>a<\/span>uthorized <\/span>d<\/span>river will be submitted through a new OnBase form.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Any person <\/span>who drives for NAU business<\/span>, including students,<\/span> is required by state law to register and meet driver eligibility requirements, after which they become an NAU <\/span>a<\/span>uthorized <\/span>d<\/span>river. This requirement applies to the operation of NAU vehicles, personal vehicles (if used for university business), rental vehicles, golf carts or any other means of motorized transportation.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

For those with NAU credentials, submit your Authorized Driver Requests online.<\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

For non-NAU Credentialed individuals, register online<\/span><\/a> and <\/span>complete the training<\/span><\/a>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>To comply with new authorized driver procedures, an update to the Vehicle Request Form has been made. <\/span>Please submit all vehicle requests online.<\/span><\/a> Additionally, please update your computer bookmarks to ensure continued easy access in the future. This change includes updates to NAU procedure documents, websites and links, so old bookmarks and URLs<\/span>\u00a0may no longer function.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The new systems will make it easy for supervisors and approvers to access driver authorization information and ensure that all vehicle rentals are in compliance with university policy.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
