Franke College of Business, recently published the article \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/hotel-online.us4.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=36098fc21a27fe0742cc05e77&amp;id=79b40837b8&amp;e=cb14ccb2f5\">Innovative Hospitality and Lodging Medi Spa Solutions During COVID and Beyond<\/a>,\u201d which emphasizes the importance of guest wellness and overall safety amid the pandemic.<\/li>\n<li><strong>David Miles<\/strong>, professor in the School of Hotel and Restaurant Management, recently published an article on WalletHub. In \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/wallethub.com\/best-travel-credit-cards#expert=David_Charles_Miles\">Exploring the Best Travel Credit Cards<\/a>,\u201d Miles discusses which travel cards will be the most rewarding.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Norman Medoff<\/strong>, professor in the School of Communication, received the 2022 BEA Textbook Award for his book &#8220;Now Media: The Evolution of Electronic Communication&#8221; that he coauthored with Barbara Kaye of the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. The book, which has been a staple in mass communication and communication history courses, provides a comprehensive view of electronic media developments from the beginnings of broadcasting to the latest digital innovations.<\/li>\n<li>Behind five championships amongst their eight Big Sky Conference sponsored women\u2019s programs, <strong>Northern Arizona University<\/strong> claimed the Big Sky Women\u2019s All-Sport Trophy for the second consecutive year and 10th time in school history. The Lumberjack women\u2019s 10th All-Sport Trophy snaps a tie with Weber State for the most Women\u2019s All-Sport Trophies in league history.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Christopher Edwards<\/strong>, associate professor in the Department of Astronomy and Planetary Science, was recently featured in NASA\u2019s Jet Propulsion Laboratory. \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpl.nasa.gov\/news\/science-at-sunrise-solving-the-mystery-of-frost-hiding-on-mars\">Science at Sunrise: Solving the Mystery of Frost Hiding on Mars<\/a>\u201d highlights findings of widespread CO2 frost on Mars and its role in regolith generation.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Phil Massey<\/strong>, adjunct professor in the Department of Astronomy and Planetary Science, and <strong>Erin Aadland<\/strong>, a doctoral student working at Lowell Observatory and recent NAU graduate, were interviewed for an NPR story, \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/kjzz.org\/content\/1777803\/star-study-shines-new-light-old-stars-black-holes\">Star study shines new light on old stars, black holes<\/a>,\u201d about their findings on how stars evolve as they age.<\/li>\n<li><strong>David Trilling<\/strong>, chair and professor in the Department of Astronomy and Planetary Science, presented at the recent Apophis T-7 conference\u2014a meeting to talk about research opportunities ahead of Apophis&#8217; Earth flyby in 2029.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><a class=\"search-results-excerpt-link\" href=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/news\/in-the-spotlight-may-28-june-1\/\">Kudos to these faculty, staff, students and programs.
