What better holiday addition than these adorable homemade Christmas trees? Here\u2019s everything you need to know to make this thrifty pinecone craft.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Why\u00a0I love this craft:<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">It\u2019s\u00a0easy,\u00a0quick\u00a0and cheap.<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0Not only is\u00a0this\u00a0a\u00a0great craft to do with kiddos, but\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0ridiculously inexpensive. If you\u00a0don\u2019t\u00a0count the bottle of wine, supplies cost me $5. (Plus, the more they lean, the more they look like something out of\u00a0\u201cThe Grinch.\u201d) If\u00a0you\u2019re\u00a0in the valley\u00a0or somewhere free of pinecones, you can\u00a0purchase\u00a0a cheap bag from\u00a0just about any\u00a0craft store.)<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Green and white acrylic paint\u00a0<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">(<em>TIP: If\u00a0you\u2019d\u00a0like to save time, opt for green spray paint<\/em>)<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">1 gold foam glitter sheet<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Wine cork<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0(If\u00a0you\u2019d\u00a0rather, you can\u00a0purchase\u00a0a miniature terracotta pot from Michael\u2019s for less than a dollar to house your pinecone tree. Rotate it around and reposition until it is balanced. If making multiple trees, remember what cork works best with each pinecone. I chose to keep mine small, but a comically oversized, lop<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">&#8211;<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">sided star would be adorable. For inspiration, use this <a href=\"http:\/\/in.nau.edu\/news\/wordpresst\/uploads\/sites\/153\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Stars-Template.pdf\">printable PDF of a variety of stars and sizes<\/a> as a template.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Cut out your star and use it to trace identical stars.
