These awards are presented by the <a href=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/center-for-university-access-and-inclusion\/\">Center for University Access and Inclusion<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/nau.edu\/president\/\">Office of the President<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The annual awards recognize the work of people and organizations who support and further diversity, equity and inclusion at the university. This year\u2019s awards celebration will be postponed to the fall semester to anticipate the possibility of an in-person event.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s award winners are:<\/p>\n<p>Commission for Native Americans<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Staff Award:\u00a0<strong>Bekka Alvarado<\/strong>, manager, University Admissions,\u00a0Native American &amp; Diversity Recruitment<\/li>\n<li>Student Award:\u00a0<strong>Sara Johannteburns<\/strong>, undergraduate student, Indian Country Criminal Justice major, Applied Indigenous Studies<\/li>\n<li>Faculty Award:\u00a0<strong>Manley Begay<\/strong>, professor, Applied Indigenous Studies<\/li>\n<li>Alumni Award:\u00a0<strong>Kathleen Frank<\/strong>, program manager,\u00a0W. A.
