The change more comprehensively highlights the work the center does throughout the state.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur new name, the Center for Service and Volunteerism\u00a0(CSV),\u00a0better reflects the work we do to engage volunteers to address critical community needs throughout Arizona,\u201d said director Erin Kruse. \u201cOur programs serve communities from Yuma to Tuba City,\u00a0Lake Havasu to Show Low,\u00a0and many more.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Center for Service and Volunteerism\u2019s mission is to be\u00a0the\u00a0state\u00a0leader in the field of service and volunteerism. The CSV\u00a0supports a vibrant and diverse network of individuals and partner agencies who are making an exceptional impact across Arizona.\u00a0CSV manages seven National Service programs\u00a0through\u00a0AmeriCorps, AmeriCorps Seniors\u00a0and VISTA, including initiatives focused on education, food security, veterans and military families, aging in place, pain management alternatives, environmental stewardship, capacity building and more.<\/p>\n<p>Since 1985,\u00a0CSV connected Arizonans\u00a0with\u00a0service opportunities.
