His thesis, \u201cMapping Inclusion: Accessibility Advocacy for People with Disabilities Using GIS Crowdsourced Data,\u201d identified problems with access to the street network and locating restrooms which are accessible and gender neutral. His work has been featured by the <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/ce91c75102954ceba0b999e59749eabb\">Associated Press<\/a> and in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.esri.com\/about\/newsroom\/arcuser\/making-the-world-more-accessible\/\">ArcUser Magazine<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Two doctoral students received language learning grants sponsored by English professor <strong>Okim Kang<\/strong> for their dissertation projects. <strong>Katherine Yaw<\/strong> is studying Accent Familiarity Training and <strong>Mohammadreza Dalman<\/strong>\u00a0is studying Intelligibility Instruction.<\/li>\n<li>Senior basketball player <strong>Khiarica Rasheed<\/strong> was honored with the Big Sky Conference Preseason Most Valuable Player award. She is the first athlete in NAU history to earn this award or become a member of the preseason All-Big Sky Conference team.<\/li>\n<li>Junior basketball player <strong>Cameron Shelton <\/strong>was named to the 2020-21 Big Sky Preseason All-Conference Team.
