Wong will take the stage at Northern Arizona University during his talk, &#8220;All the World&#8217;s a Stage: Supporting the Transformation from Exclusion to Inclusion.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Best known for his portrayal of forensic psychiatrist Dr. George Huang on NBC&#8217;s\u00a0<em>Law &amp; Order Special Victims Unit<\/em>, Wong will speak at 7 p.m. Feb. 28 in Cline Library Assembly Hall.<\/p>\n<p>Wong speaks to audiences about the lessons he has learned regarding racism and tolerance.<\/p>\n<p>His r\u00e9sum\u00e9 includes acting and directing on and off Broadway and in numerous movies and television shows,\u00a0film making, and writing his memoir,\u00a0<em>Following Foo: The Electronic Adventures of the Chestnut Man<\/em>, published in 2003.<\/p>\n<p>Wong won a Tony Award for his Broadway debut in\u00a0<em>M. Butterfly<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>His memoir features topics he speaks about, such as his personal experience of being a parent in a gay relationship.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;B.D.&#8217;s life has given him a keen perspective on the subject of diversity,&#8221; said\u00a0<strong>Kelley Horn<\/strong>, an NAU career and academic adviser who was so inspired when she heard Wong speak in New York City last year, she submitted a proposal to NAU&#8217;s Student Activities Council for funding to bring him to NAU.<\/p>\n<p>The event is free and open to the public, but requires tickets from NAU&#8217;s Central Ticket Office at (928) 523-5661.<\/p>\n<p>For information, e-mail\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:Kelley.Horn@nau.edu\">Kelley.Horn@nau.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><a class=\"search-results-excerpt-link\" href=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/news\/law-order-star-to-speak-at-nau\/\">Award-winning actor B.D.
