License Plate Recognition (LPR)<\/strong><\/h4>\n
Last year, UTS switched to an LPR system making permits virtual. This has made obtaining and owning a parking permit easier on permit holders and has reduced environmental impacts.<\/p>\n
Instead of a physical sticker, the license plate is the permit and must be visible from the drive aisle at all times. If a driver wishes to back in or pull forward into a space, a supplemental front plate can be purchased. Permit pricing<\/strong><\/h4>\n
Permit prices reflect accommodation and maintenance needs to better serve the campus community. A list of permit prices is available online<\/a>.<\/p>\n
Benefit-eligible faculty and staff can sign up for payroll deduction to have the price of a permit deducted over several\u00a0pay periods or the academic year. This year, payroll deductions are pre-tax. Non-benefit eligible employees may place the cost of the permit on LOUIE.\u00a0Part-time employee permits are available for staff who work 19 hours a week or less, teach six credits or less and who are non-benefit eligible.<\/p>\n
Electric vehicle charging stations<\/strong><\/h4>\n
Electric vehicle charging stations require users to pay for the service. Users download the ampUp app, scan a QR code at the charger and then plug the vehicle in. The cost is $1.50 per hour, up to four hours. After the four hours, each additional hour is $5. NAU employees can contact the UTS office for a discount code of $1 per hour, up to four hours.<\/p>\n
