The article shares insight into Wangeman\u2019s life with cerebral palsy and his efforts to advocate for those with disabilities to eliminate associated stigmas and misconceptions.<\/li>\n<li>The main Instagram account for <strong>Northern Arizona University<\/strong> was ranked in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.4icu.org\/top-universities-instagram\/\">the top 200 most popular accounts<\/a> out of 6,472 official university accounts by uniRank. Results are calculated based on number of followers with NAU tallying 51,444 followers.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Bruce Hungate<\/strong>, director of the Center for Ecosystem Science and Society and Regents\u2019 Professor of biological sciences; <strong>Kate Petersen<\/strong>, Ecoss communications manager; <strong>Victor Leshyk<\/strong>, research project coordinator; and <strong>Jane Marks<\/strong>, professor of biological sciences, authored the article, \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/esajournals.onlinelibrary.wiley.com\/doi\/full\/10.1002\/fee.2186?fbclid=IwAR31RBpO6BfMtaSvrlz3DND7tdL3MbKKd7ezAx3bjIgvvxDdm5BE2ALc9y0\">Science-telling through art<\/a>,\u201d in Frontiers in Ecology and the Environment. The article discusses how art can be used to share science, but argues for a kind of science art that is compelling and instructive to cut through the noise of misleading information.<\/li>\n<li>Professor of biological sciences <strong>Yiqi Luo<\/strong> collaborated with Shuli Niu of the Chinese Academy of Sciences to publish the article, \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nature.com\/articles\/d41586-020-00962-0?utm_source=twt_nv&amp;utm_medium=social&amp;utm_campaign=newsandviews\">Mature forest shows little increase in carbon uptake in a CO<sub>2<\/sub>-enriched atmosphere<\/a>,\u201d in Nature. The authors discuss researchers\u2019 results when a mature eucalyptus forest was exposed to added CO<sub>2<\/sub>, testing the CO<sub>2<\/sub> fertilization effect. The minor carbon uptake they measured closely matched theoretically derived calculations, which suggests photosynthesis is curbed biochemically as atmospheric CO<sub>2<\/sub><\/li>\n<li><strong>Ricky Camplain<\/strong>, assistant professor of <a href=\"https:\/\/nau.edu\/health-sciences\/\">health sciences<\/a> with the <a href=\"https:\/\/nau.edu\/cher\/\">Center for Health Equity Research<\/a>, was appointed to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.accjh.org\/\">Academic Consortium on Criminal Justice Health<\/a> board of directors.
