The article was published in The Science Teacher, the National Science Teaching Association journal.<\/li><li>Women\u2019s soccer players<strong> Carly George, Madison Montgomery <\/strong>and <strong>Paige Maling<\/strong> received Big Sky All-Conference team honors for the first time in their collegiate careers. <\/li><li>For the 17<sup>th<\/sup> time in program history, both the <strong>NAU men\u2019s and women\u2019s cross country<\/strong> <strong>teams<\/strong> won the Big Sky Conference CX Championships. This is the men\u2019s 29<sup>th<\/sup> conference title and the women\u2019s 21<sup>st<\/sup>. The championship was held in Greeley, Colorado, on Nov. 2. <\/li><li>Quarterback <strong>Case Cookus<\/strong> was listed as one of the 34 players to watch for the 2019 College Football Performance Awards, National Performer of the Year Trophy. Cookus claimed the trophy in 2015 and leads the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) in passing yards with 3,153. <\/li><li>Freshman wide receiver <strong>Hendrix Johnson<\/strong> was named to the Jerry Rice Watch List. The Jerry Rice Award is presented in the postseason to the Football Championship Subdivision freshman player of the year. Johnson leads all FCS freshmen with 700 received yards on 44 catches, including five touchdowns. <\/li><li>70 NAU students involved with the <strong>School of Art<\/strong> collaborated on \u201cSteeling the (Old) Masters,\u201d an art installation displayed on the exterior of the Performing and Fine Arts building.
