It is a chance to be creative and innovative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 12 new positions\u2014eight in financial administration and\nfour in human resources\u2014will initially provide financial and human resources services\nto the College of Health and Human Services, Franke College of Business and the\nCollege of Engineering, Informatics, and Applied Sciences. This model is a\nresult of structural changes recommended by the Organizational Growth and\nEffectiveness Initiative, a yearlong project to determine the most effective\nand efficient ways to streamline these types of services across campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The OGEI Project Team is hosting a webinar on Oct. 30 to\nanswer questions and talk about the prototype positions; HR associate director <strong>Cathy\nSpeirs<\/strong> and manager, financial administration <strong>Kate Florman<\/strong>, who will be the managers of this first\nservice team<strong>,<\/strong> will discuss the newly created positions and the\ntasks these employees will take on. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They\u2019re exciting positions with all the benefits that come\nwith being an NAU employee and are full-time, permanent staff positions, not\nshort-term contracts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAs the first service team, those hired into these positions\nwill have the opportunity to shape the way service is provided in all of the\nservice teams,\u201d Speirs said. \u201cWorking on this project could be the sort of\ncareer-building experience that someone looks back on as a highlight\u2014something\nthat provided an opportunity to grow into a long-term career in HR or finance.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This round of hires will make up the first of the service\nteams; Florman said they anticipate two to four more teams as the need grows.\nWorking on these service teams will offer the opportunity to deepen knowledge,\nskills and abilities in HR and finance while helping to streamline processes\nand build strong service-oriented relationships with faculty and staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe are looking for enthusiastic change agents\u2014people who\nhave creative ideas and solutions to the HR and financial administration work\nthat we do on a day-to-day basis,\u201d Florman said. \u201cWe need people who want to be\na part of a team that will have a significant impact on the work culture here at\nNAU.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Interested?
