The season\u2019s theme, <em>Retold, Relived and Reimagined<\/em>, is brought to life with four main productions.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cEach playwright in our new season is telling a familiar tell in a reimagined way,\u201d says theatre chair <strong>Kathleen McGeever<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Seeking to restructure the student experience, the company will travel to northern Arizona schools to perform.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Performances will take place in the NAU Performing and Fine Arts Complex (Bldg. 37 on the Flagstaff campus).<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Main Stage Productions<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>&#8220;The Yellow Boat,&#8221; by David Saar: Oct. 4\u00ad\u00ad-6<\/li>\r\n<li>&#8220;Playing With Fire: After Frankenstein,&#8221; by Barbara Field: Nov. 8-17<\/li>\r\n<li>&#8220;Eurydice,&#8221; by Sarah Ruhl: Feb. 21-March 1<\/li>\r\n<li>&#8220;Sense and Sensibility,&#8221; by Kate Hamill: April 17-26<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tickets and season ticket packages can be purchased at the\u00a0NAU Central Ticket Office\u00a0or by calling (928) 523-5661.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bonus workshops, student plays and theatre expo plans to demonstrate student research, performance and design projects:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Backstage Projects<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>Backstage at NAU Theatre: TBD, $10<\/li>\r\n<li>Puppet Show: Nov. 22-23, $5 donation<\/li>\r\n<li>Student-directed plays: Dec. 5-7, free<\/li>\r\n<li>NAU Theatre expo: April 1-2, $5 donation<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><a class=\"search-results-excerpt-link\" href=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/news\/2019-20-theatre-season\/\">Aug. 22, 2019 NAU&#8217;s Department of Theatre unveiled its 2019-20 season schedule seeking to tell familiar stories with a new spin.
