Frey\u2019s work focuses on instances of genocide, genocidal massacres and ethnocide in the colonial United States. Frey also presented her project with a poster at the Undergraduate Symposium on campus.<\/li><li>Runners <strong>Geordie Beamish<\/strong>, <strong>Tyler Day <\/strong>and <strong>Luis Grijalva<\/strong> will represent NAU at the 24<sup>th<\/sup> Annual Payton Jordan Invitational in the men\u2019s 5000-meter run. The competition is internationally renowned and is intended for elite college athletes. <\/li><li>Senior<strong> Tim Handel<\/strong> was selected as one of the nation\u2019s top 64 tennis players who will compete in the 2019 NCAA Division I Men\u2019s Championships in Orlando, Florida. In singles, Handel is 21-1 on the season and 10-0 in the Big Sky. His No. 1 position has helped the NAU team to a 22-6 record on the season and a Big Sky Championship. <\/li><li>Graduate students <strong>Melissa Enright<\/strong>, <strong>Daniel Foley<\/strong> and <strong>Chelsey Tarazi<\/strong> competed at the Southwest Showdown Speech event in Reno, Nevada. They competed against students from U of A, ASU, UNLV and UN Reno. Enright won third place with her presentation \u201cThe Redwood Test: How much are we willing to lose as the climate changes?\u201d<\/li><li>Ecoss graduate researcher <strong>Julia Stuart<\/strong> and McAllister Program on Community, Culture, and the Environment graduate student grantee <strong>Heather Mead<\/strong> were named 2019-20 NAU ARCS Foundation scholars.
