This week recognizes each of NAU\u2019s championship teams from the preceding fall and spring semesters.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The celebratory week will include social media recognition for all of the recent Lumberjack championship-winning programs and culminate with the Champions Reception at 3 p.m. April 11 in the DuBois Center. The reception is free and open to the public; guest parking permits for the reception can be accessed <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nau.edu\/guest\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">online<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>NAU Athletics<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> racked up a total of seven Big Sky titles, regular and postseason combined, as well as adding a Western Athletic Conference championship in swimming and diving. Big Sky champions included women\u2019s tennis, men\u2019s and women\u2019s outdoor track, men\u2019s cross country, women\u2019s volleyball and men\u2019s indoor track.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>NAU cheerleading<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0won the University World Cup Cheerleading Championship in the Premiere All-Girl Division last January in Orlando.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Three-time NCAA National Champion men\u2019s cross country team will be honored during a special dinner event on April 14 at Whisk &amp; Whisky. The team captured their third straight NCAA national\u00a0championship, and student-athletes <\/span><b>Andy Trouard<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>Geordie Beamish<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will be spotlighted as individual NCAA national champions for their performances at the indoor and outdoor events.
