Join Northern Arizona University staff <\/span>Melissa Welker<\/b> and <\/span>Laura Jones<\/b> at 1 p.m. Jan. 29 for Frontier Set\u2019s webinar, \u201cCreating a Culture of Evidence: Increasing Data Literacy Among Faculty and Staff.\u201d Welker, executive director of student success, and Jones, chief institutional data officer, will join staff members from Miami Dade College and Northeast Wisconsin Technical College on a panel.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cPromising Practices Brief 6: Creating a Culture of Evidence,\u201d recently published by the American Institutes for Research (AIR), will serve as the basis of the webinar. Participants will learn of three common challenges facing schools in regard to use of data and how three Frontier Set sites have addressed them, NAU included. <\/span><\/p>\n Registration for the webinar may be found <\/span>online<\/span><\/a>. Participants are encouraged to <\/span>read the brief ahead of time<\/span><\/a> and to come with any questions. <\/span><\/p>\n The Frontier Set began as a five-year initiative designed to identify and close opportunity gaps amongst college students.
