A critically acclaimed evening of comedy by award-winning playwright David Ives will be performed by Northern Arizona University theatre students from Nov. 16 through Dec. 2 in the Studio Theater on the Flagstaff campus.<\/span><\/p>\n The NAU Department of Theatre\u2019s production of \u201cAll in the Timing,\u201d heralded by The New York Times as theatre that \u201caerobicizes the brain and tickles the heart,\u201d presents a collection of short, offbeat, witty plays designed for a fun experience.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cAll in the Timing\u201d is about the absurdity of being alive and the possibilities of human connection said theatre lecturer and director <\/span>David Weynand<\/b>. <\/span><\/p>\n \u201cA cast of characters find themselves in bizarrely skewed comic situations that reveal the quirkiness of human communication and connection,\u201d Weynand said. \u201cThe characters are on a quest for the truth, and in a matter of \u2018time\u2019 they find it.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Each short play in the series deals with life\u2019s loves, connections and absurdity. The stories mix the surreal with the satiric and the poetic with the perplexing.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cAll in the Timing\u201d will be performed in the Studio Theater at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 16-17 and Nov. 29 through Dec. 1 and 2 p.m. Nov. 18 and Dec. 2. <\/span><\/p>\n The Studio Theater is in the Performing and Fine Arts building (Bldg. 37). Admission is $8 for youth, $14 for adults and $12 for seniors.
